Fire Training Props:

• Pump Row

The FSA’s pump row prop design represents a product transfer unit common in petrochemical facilities.

There are 14 pumps and motors comprised of 46 individual, burnable isolation valves that can simulate flange fires, seal fires, and motor fires that require multiple valve shutoff for control.

Some difficulties encountered by students on this prop are ventilation and cooling problems from the overhead piping and support structures.
